Day In The Life Of A WLSA Intern, meet Kim!
Hanze University of Applied Science
The WLSA team is so happy to be working with our intern, Kim Ye! Originally from China, Kim is studying International Business and Management at the Hanze University of Applied Science in Groningen, the Netherlands. Studying abroad has been an amazing experience for Kim because of new and exciting teaching methods, educational systems, and cultural experiences. During her internship with us, Kim is working mainly on preparations and marketing for the 2017 WLSA Conference in Shanghai. She also assists in the day to day office management and organization. Kim loves working in a multicultural environment because it enables her to gain office experience and communication in a different culture.
At the moment, I am assisting in the preparations for the WLSA Conference in July 2017 that will take place in Shanghai. This is an interesting and enlightening challenge. Planning such a large event that will take place in a different country makes me realize how much organization, research, and teamwork must happen. My other tasks are focused on helping the WLSA Foundation continue to grow in the future in order to provide services to more students. These tasks have taught me goal setting, planning, and marketing skills.
I am excited to learn and grow more in this internship with WLSA!
