After receiving a Masters degree, He began working at the High School Affiliated to Fudan University. He has served various roles within the school such as Teacher, Research Team Leader, Director of Teachers, Principal’s Assistant, and, Executive Vice President. As well as receiving many notable awards; “The District Gardener Award”, “Pace-Setter in the New Long March”, and First Prize in the ‘Shanghai Youth Language Teacher Competition’. In 2009, the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission gave him the title ‘Shanghai Model Teacher’.
Furthermore, Jian Wu won the ‘Shanghai municipal teaching achievement Special Award’, And ‘The Ministry of Education Teaching Achievement First Award’ In 2014 he stood as Master Tutor at Fudan University Higher Education Research Institute.
He went on to undergo research concerning teaching methods and curriculum design in Chinese high schools. He was involved in preparing the teaching material for the humanities and classics subjects, and also hosted the project ‘Read and write Chinese people’ to enrich the teaching of traditional Chinese culture in higher education.
